Can you be real with me?

INSTALLATION.

In this interactive digital art installation, I seek to create tangible artefacts of transient, ephemeral, and virtual experiences. Speculating on the impact of the internet and digitisation of everyday life. Exploring the idea and possibility of 'artificial' consciousness by reimagining a self-awareness test of recognising ourselves within a virtual apace. 

The barrier between the physical and the virtual is becoming ever thinner with the release of every new screen on a computer or a smartphone; yet this barrier remains impenetrable still, separating both worlds from one another. What would happen to us if- or when- this glass disappears, when digitisation slips off-screen and enters the material world? Far from sovereign subjects, we have become data-objects in a system that  influences everything we do; from everyday life to politics, money, and power. What would become of our mind, identity, and behaviour?
